Some benefits for employees
A new bike: mountain bike, road bike, gravel bike, … electric, speed pedelec or conventional bike – the choice is yours!
By cycling, you get more exercise, which is good for your health and contributes to a better environment. In addition, your new bike will often save you time: especially in urban areas, you will be faster than by car.
A fully equipped bike
An ART2 lock will always be included in the lease. Depending on the leasing company and your company’s bicycle policy, accessories can also be included in the lease.
Up to 40% cost savings
By using part of your gross salary to pay for the bike, you can benefit from savings of up to 40% compared with purchasing a bike privately.
Bicycle allowance
Since 1 January 2025, your employer can grant you a bicycle allowance of up to €0.36 per kilometre, tax-free. This can quickly add up.
For example: you live 20 km from your workplace. If you cycle to work for one month, this represents 40 km/day × €0.36 × 21 days = €302.40 per month!
Protection against theft or damage
All bikes are covered by damage and theft insurance. This insurance covers damage and theft throughout the duration of the contract (generally 36 months), with a low deductible that varies depending on the leasing company.
In the event of theft, the bike will be replaced with another bike of the same type, under the same lease contract.
With the exception of a small number of logical exclusions, virtually all damage is covered. For example, the bike must of course be secured to an anchor point using an approved lock in order to benefit from theft coverage. Intentional damage is not covered.
If you comply with these conditions, your bike will be fully covered, giving you complete peace of mind.
No large upfront expense
Buying a new bike privately represents a significant investment. With leasing, not only will the bike cost you considerably less, but your contribution is also usually spread over 36 months.
Maintenance budget included
Properly maintaining your bike is essential, but it also comes at a cost. In general, leasing companies offer maintenance packages that are included in the leasing contracts.
We will help you choose the most appropriate package based on your bike and how you use it, so that you can enjoy your bike with complete peace of mind throughout the entire contract.
Buy your bike at a very attractive price
The most common leasing period is 36 months. At the end of the contract, you will usually have the option to purchase the bike for just 15 to 20% of its catalogue value!
Comfort and safety
With a bike provided through your employer, you can count on quality, insurance and/or breakdown assistance, as well as proper maintenance. This means you can always enjoy a worry-free ride.
How does it work?
1. Convince your employer
Would you like to lease a bike? Good to know: bicycle leasing is 100% free for your employer, and you only pay a predetermined percentage through your gross salary!
It doesn't get much better than that, does it?
Once your employer is convinced, we are ready for the next step!
2. Choose your dream bike
Choose a bike according to your own needs. In principle, you can choose from all types and brands of bikes (Cube, Scott, Cannondale, Stromer, …) available from us.
However, your employer may sometimes impose certain conditions.
3. Ride worry-free
Enjoy your lease bike worry-free for the next 36 months! It includes a maintenance package, insurance, a warranty and often breakdown assistance.
4. Buy your bike
A few weeks before the end of your contract, you will have the choice of returning the bike or purchasing it at a truly attractive price: generally between 15 and 20% of its original new value!
5. A new bike every three years
Employers often allow you to start a new leasing period for a new bike!
Some benefits for employers
Happier and healthier employees
Exercise and fresh air are particularly beneficial for both body and mind. It is therefore not surprising that employees who cycle have approximately one fewer sick day per year.
An attractive addition to the salary package
From a tax perspective, this is around 50% more efficient than cash remuneration and, under certain conditions, it can even be free for the employer.
Responsible entrepreneurship
With a bicycle plan, you score points in all areas of corporate social responsibility and contribute to solving mobility challenges.
Combine as you wish
A leased bike can be combined with a company car and public transport. It also fits perfectly into the federal mobility budget and a cafeteria plan.

Frequently asked questions
Q: What are the terms for leasing or purchasing?
A: For operational leasing, the standard term is 36 months. In the case of a purchase, the tax authorities require 36 months as the minimum period allowed for straight-line depreciation down to 0%.
Q: What are the benefits and how much does a bicycle plan cost the employer?
A: A bicycle plan is generally initially cost-neutral for the employer, whether you choose the purchase or leasing option.
In this case, a gross salary exchange, a flexible remuneration plan (cafeteria plan) or the federal mobility budget is used to offset the external costs of acquiring the bike.
As an employer, you also benefit from all the additional advantages of increased bicycle use. Less space required because there are fewer cars in the car park, fitter and happier employees without any additional cost, greener commuting without major investments, … these are all benefits that the employer gets at no extra cost.
Q: What is a cafeteria plan? Can schools use it?
A: One of the remuneration components that can be used to offer a leased bike is what is known as a “cafeteria plan”.
This term essentially refers to using the employee’s 13th-month salary, gross year-end bonus or holiday allowance to start a bicycle lease.
Because of the difference between gross and net salary, this formula is more advantageous than a private purchase. The formula is particularly popular among federal civil servants and education staff, among others.
Q: How does the bicycle allowance work?
A: As an employer, since 1 January 2025, you can grant a statutory bicycle allowance of up to 36 cents per kilometre, up to a maximum tax-exempt amount of €3,610 per year (income year 2025).
There is no maximum distance per day. Leasing a bicycle was not considered a benefit in kind, so the employee is not taxed on it.
To benefit from this advantage, the employee must use the bicycle for commuting between their place of residence and their workplace.
Q: What insurance do you offer and what does it cover?
A: All bikes are covered by damage and theft insurance.
For example, the bike must be secured to an anchor point using an approved lock in order to benefit from theft coverage. Intentional damage is not covered.
If the user complies with these conditions, they will be fully covered without any worries.
Q: How is bike maintenance organised?
A: Maintenance can be included in your bicycle policy as well as in the lease or purchase amount, with a choice between different packages depending on the bike, its type and how it is used.
Q: What types of bikes can I choose?
A: All of them! You decide, because from the leasing companies’ point of view there are no restrictions.
You can choose any brand and type of bike available in our extensive range. All the bike brands we offer are particularly high-quality.
Q: What happens when the leasing period comes to an end?
A: Companies and government organisations that lease bikes can offer their employees the opportunity to be the first to choose whether or not they wish to purchase the bike at its residual value at the end of the contract.
As the end of the lease approaches, the employee receives a message from the leasing company asking whether they are interested.
If the employee wishes to purchase the bike, a purchase invoice will be issued during the final month of the contract and can easily be paid online.
If the employee does not wish to purchase the bike, they must return it to us before or on the end date of the lease.
In this case, once the lease ends without a purchase, the leasing company will offer the bike on the second-hand market for a second life.
Q: I currently have a lease. Can I order a new bike before the current lease ends?
A: From a parafiscal perspective, it is not excluded to have two bikes in use at the same time, for example if you sometimes need a folding bike and sometimes an electric bike.
However, these conditions are often not available. Most employers therefore simply do not allow two bikes to be leased at the same time.
Their bicycle policy generally states that an existing contract must be completed before a new bike can be taken on.
To ensure that two leases overlap smoothly, it is best to place a new order in advance.
After approval, the earliest possible handover date is communicated to us by the leasing company, in order to avoid any overlap between the two lease contracts.
On average, employees start looking for their new dream bike around three months before the end of their lease.
